Intro to Asian Civilisations Museum Edit Section - Singapore Museum : Asian Civilisations Museum

A must see. . The ACM is located in the 160+-year-old Empress Place Building and has a prime spot on the Singapore River. It's been beautifully refurbished, and seeing all that the museum has to offer can keep you occcupied for quite a few happy hours. The museum examines "pan-Asian cultures and civilisations," as its web site states. The museum has three levels, and the exhibits are arranged by culture group. There are major temporary exhibits, the most recent entitled "Mobile Homes: Tents and Shelters for People on the Move." A real world-class museum. When you're done viewing, you can check out the excellent gift shop, or nearby restaurants.
