Bondi Beach, with ferry- and bus-connections from Circular Quay, makes for a fantastic daytrip/surfin’ safari.  Filled to the brink with sun-tanned (and sunburned) bodies but catering also to the wayward surfer, the glitzy Bondi is considered a "must-see" in Sydney. 

To gorge yourself on even more sand n' surf, do the famous Bondi to Coogee walk, a lazy, 5 kilometer jaunt on boardwalks, trails, and through a cliffside graveyard that winds along the stunning beach scenery between the two famous beaches.
