Intro to The Berkeley Bowl
The Berkeley Bowl is a classic institution. Craigslist apartment listings all around Berkeley routinely include distance to the Bowl. The Bowl started out as a collection of produce stands and is now a huge grocery store with fresh produce and all manner of organic and natural foods. It's extremely popular among Berkeley's many health-conscious citizens, but it can get a little crazy during prime shopping hours, with gridlocked shopping carts and thrown elbows.
