This peninsula is located at the entrance of the harbor is a popular tourist spot that has great nature, the Cabrillo Monument and the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. Brought into use in 1855 it is one of the oldest lighthouses on the Pacific Coast. It is usually open for people to walk inside the living quarters and up the stairs to the beacon. There is a great view of the harbor as well.
