As its name might suggest, the Hush Hush Lounge keeps a deliberately low profile. It's off the main strip of Valenica bars, slightly more distinguished, and difficult to spot from the street. The interior is intimate: there are a few comfortable round booths, a small dancefloor in back, and occasional art shows. And the crowd is hip but not too aloof. A spot this conspicuously under the radar will inevitably have problems maintaining its character though. A few regulars have already lamented the passing of $.25 PBRs on Fridays and a changing clientele. If you're looking for something off the beaten path drop by and judge for yourself.

I wasn't all that impressed with this place. Maybe I just went on the wrong night. There was an art show/party going on so I paid a $5 cover. The interior was crowded and so was the dancefloor (although with minimal actual dancing). Its out of the way and low-profile, sure, but just like anywhere else when you get inside, only smaller.
