A grittier downtown Santa Barbara bar, Velvet Jones has a live music stage, $2 PBRs and a local, tattooed clientele. Very different from the top 40s music, oxford shirts and miniskirts at other downtown bars. They pride themselves on being one of the best venues for music in the area and usually fill about half the week with shows ranging from hip-hop to punk. The large patio in front is nice for the smokers.
