Natural Site:

Key Biscayne

Intro to Key Biscayne Edit Section - Miami Natural Site : Key Biscayne

If you have a car you can take Interstate 95 to the Rickenbacker Causeway and head out to Key Biscayne, where beaches are among the nations finest and waters relatively calm. Along the causeway is Hobie Beach, a small stretch of beach where the water remains shallow even far out. Here you can try windsurfing or an array of other water sports. Bring picnic and stay to watch the sunset, very romantic. Further out is Crandon Beach Park, which offers amenities such as barbecue pits, picnic facilities, volleyball rentals and softball fields. At the end of Crandon Boulevard is Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation Area, where there are great beaches, bicycle trails, boat rentals, fishing and a historic lighthouse. If you came without a picnic, grab a bite at the beachfront Lighthouse Cafe. The entry fee is $5 per car or $1 per person of you walk or bike in.
