If you're looking for a few drinks, and don't know where to go, or just want to see a good portion of the strangeness that New Orleans has to offer, try taking a stroll down Bourbon Street.  Everyone of age should try a Hand Grenade at least once, and this is the place to get them.  Many entertaining sights, sounds, and even smells will greet you as you walk along this most famous of boulevards.  Not for the faint of heart, or the overly conservative...if you are either, avoid this street.  Plenty of live bands, lots of drunk people doing everything imaginable, strip joints of every stripe and color you can concieve of, and several you can't, bars and clubs of every theme, and a general all-around constant party atmosphere once the sun goes down.
