French Market

Intro to French Market Edit Section - New Orleans Festivals and Local Events : French Market

Just down a few blocks from Jackson Square is the French Market.  To get an idea of what this is like, think of your regular Farmers Markets. This local event is held daily until around 5:00. Tents (or one large one) filled with people selling their goods, fruits and vegetables, and even seafood. Must try some boudin (hot rice and beef), boiled crawfish, and some alligator or frogs legs all of which are some of Louisiana's specialities.
