I wouldn't try and go to the Fulton St. fish market, they have since closed down. But if you do go to Fulton St. you'll still (as of this writing anyway) find the Strand book store annex, a huge book store with a large selection of $1 books and all books at a reduced price and the South Street Seaport with an array of shops, restaurants and street entertainers.
