Erato Backpackers Hostel provides clean, comfortable, budget accommodation for backpackers and young travelers visiting the cultural treasures of the beautiful Greek Island of Aegina in the heart of the Saronic Gulf. Conveniently located in the popular resort of Aghia Marina on the east coast of the Island, Erato Backpackers Hostel offers chilled-out environment to relax and unwind and socialize with fellow travelers and backpackers. This 20-room hostel offers private rooms and 4 bed dorms all with toilets and showers in each room.
We are fully equipped with 21st Century conveniences including air-conditioning, Internet Access, Cafe and snack bar with cheap home-cooked meals and drinks served by resident Aussies, Americans and Canadians, Showers and recreational room, Bar, lounge and pool the focal point for activities and events. The Island is a treasure trove of ancient monasteries, spectacular archaeological sites such as the Temple of Apollo & Afeas the Sphinx of Aegina and a host of unspoiled, picturesque towns and villages nestling around its breathtaking littoral. Boasting a premium location, The Erato Backpackers Hostel is in the centre of Aghia Marina town, 50 meters from the beach and a short stroll from the highlights of the picture postcard town of Aghia Marina, home to an excellent variety of funky bars and clubs, traditional Greek tavernas and a host of public services including buses and taxis, banks and post office. Off site, travelers have the option to engage in a host of outdoor activities and excursions including a day and evening visits to Athens, tours around Aegina Island, as well as a plethora of water sports such as scuba diving, parascending, paragliding, sailing and much more.
All these activities can be arranged at the hostel.

The Erato Backpackers Hostel is in the centre of Aghia marina. Take the ferry or hydrofoil from Piraeus harbor (Athens) to Aegina Island, there are ferries to Aegina which leave every half an hour. After departing jump on the bus that leaves every hour, this should take approx. 25 minutes. To A.g. Marina there are 3 ferries a day from Piraeus one at 9.30am, 2.30pm and then 5.30pm Monday to Thursday extended times from Friday to Sunday. From the port walk straight up the hill, turn left, walk 200 meters until you see our sign! You can?t miss us! |
