And if you can not resist, you can also find a gym. On most beaches there are beach bars for young people.

The two largest towns ?Parikia? and ?Naoussa? offer a wonderful atmosphere to stroll around in old-town alleys with small boutiques and shops. At the cafes in the small ports you can enjoy the sunset with a Greek coffee or by trying your luck with the famous Greek board game Tavli (similar to Backgammon).

Naoussa

Naoussa is the second largest town on Paros and has become quite renowned. It is situated in a small bay in the northern part of the island and is famous for its picturesque harbour, which is one of the most beautiful in Greece.

As in Parikia, you can find numerous old town alleys here, perfect for shopping or a simple stroll around. By night Naoussa is known for its stylish bars and open-air clubs. The nightlife in Naoussa however is somewhat more high-class and as such more expensive than in Parikia.

How to get there

The capital of the island, Parikia, has one of the largest ports in the Cyclades with excellent ferry connections to the other islands. From the Athenian port of Piraeus, the ferry to Paros takes between 2.5 and 5 hours. Up to 30 ferries arrive at the port of Paros per day from Athens and surrounding islands.

Due to low rates and frequent operations, ferries are the most convenient way to travel around the islands in Greece.

In addition, Paros also has a small airport, with arrivals twice daily from Athens.
