Specials: We inform about special transportation from Faro Airport to Lagos and from here to there. If you are interested, contact us after making your booking.
News from the House: Do you have some experience in Hostel work? If so, contact us till the end of June. Jobs are available in our Hostels.
Coming from Faro or Lisbon you can take either a bus or a train. They run several times a day, being even more frequent on the summer and on weekdays. Coming from the north of Portugal, you'll go to Lisbon first and then directly to Lagos.
Coming from Spain: you can go to Seville and take a direct bus to Lagos. Sometimes you may get bad information in Spain about this. Some people don't realise there is a direct bus and they will inform on alternatives which are time consuming and not necessary since you can take the bus in Seville (Plaza de Armas station.)
The buses to Lagos run twice a day, except on weekends and public holidays (no bus at all.) From June until September they run every single day.
Flying to Faro Airport: you can take a taxi or a bus to Faro downtown where you'll find both the train and bus stations almost side by side. As mentioned above, you can use one of those to get to Lagos.
Carlos House is close to the Lagos main public transportation, such as bus and train. About 10 minutes walking distance.
By train: Walk through the marina, cross the suspension bridge and turn left to the main avenue (Descobrimentos Avenue). Continue down the main avenue, you should pass a Repsol Gasoline Station on your right hand side.
Continue on for a minute and you will pass a fish market, taxi stand and post office (on a commercial street). Then, there is a small square with a funny statue in the middle. (Please note: dont walk too far along the main avenue or youll get to a big square with another statue far from us and you will find it difficult to get back.)
From there (small square), enter Rua (street) Garrett towards the next little square. You will see at one corner a shop named Obrigado. Enter the long street next to it (Rua Infante de Sagres) and go up the hill. Turn the second right, then the first left and finally you'll see our street Jogo da Bola after just 50 meters. You'll find us at number eight.
By bus (except for the Renex bus):
Leave the bus station towards the river and turn right into the main avenue (Descobrimentos Avenue,) continue down the main avenue, you should pass a Repsol Gasoline Station on your right hand side.
