Featuring 2 old Tampa cottages, circa 1945, AAA approved (2 diamonds) shaded by ancient Oak trees laced with Spanish moss. Embellished with quaint walkways, porches, 2 courtyards with waterfalls, palms, Flowers and vines.
A cozy outside BYOB bar (Parsons Pub) adjacent to an oversized jacuzzi with sunning decks. 2 cats lounging around contentedly...and the strains of Jazz, Blues, Folk (Celtic), Country, Rock & Roll, Big Band, Reggae, Classical, Etc... fills the air.
All Rooms are themed after a style of music: Old time window panes were selected to portray the music greats of that music style in the rooms. Each room has a special cassette tape so you can hear who is portrayed on the walls and a book on that style of music. Each room has it's own comment book to read comments left by other guests and you may leave comments for future guests. Real musical instruments from Guitars, Fiddles (Violins), Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Drums , Clarinet, Washboards etc. line the walls of these very interesting rooms.
OUR ROOM TYPES:
Private Bath Rooms Are:
1. The Jazz Room: #6 (One Queen size bed)
2. The Blues Room: #7 (One Full size bed)
3. The Rock & Roll Room: #8 (One Queen size bed)
All private rooms (above) have Telephone, A/C, Cable TV and Sony A/M F/M Cassette stereo Radio & Hard Wood Floors. The rooms with a private bath share the "I love Lucy Kitchen ".
Shared Bath Rooms Are:
1. The Folk Music Room: #2, (SLEEPS 2 TO 3) has one bunk bed with a full size on the bottom (sleeps two in the same bed) and a twin (single) on the top.
2. The Country Music Room: #3 (SLEEPS 4 TO 5) has two bunk beds, one with a full size on the bottom (sleeps two in the same bed) and a twin (single) on the top and the second bunk bed has one twin one the bottom and one twin on the top. We try to keep this our female dorm.
3. The Adventure Room (separate, free-standing building (SLEEPS 2 TO 3) One full size loft bed that sleeps two in the same bed. Below the loft bed is a sofa that can be use for a third person in a pinch. This room is for Kids and Adults who want to think they are kids. Campers love this room. Only 8 ft. by 8 ft. It has a loft and sky lights to see the stars. Outside shower and toilette but this room may use the inside facilities (Kinda like a tree house).
4. The Train Room (a simulated sleeper car) is our Coed Dorm and sleeps 6.
* Shared Bath Rooms have a Private Sink in each room & share a Kitchen.

CHECK IN STARTS AT 2PM and after everyday. Please be sure to let us know the time of day you plan to arrive. It is always best to call 1 hour before you arrive. We plan our days according to arrival time of guests.

TAMPA CAB DRIVERS WILL TAKE YOU ON A LONG LONG RIDE to run up the fare if you let them. You will have to take control of this situation, SO for your sake, PRINT OUT THESE DIRECTIONS AND MAKE SURE THE CAB DRIVER FOLLOWS YOUR ORDERS. Yellow Cab will charge you $1.75 to start and $2.00 per mile. It is 9 Miles from the Airport to Gram's Place and should cost you $20

Go west, 1 block on Polk st. to Morgan st. Turn right (Go north) on Morgan st. 4 blocks to the MARION TRANSIT CENTER (MTC). Get on The Florida ave bus #1 Ask the bus driver to stop at the first bus stop PAST FLORIBRASKA AVE, Just 1 mile north. When you get off the bus you will see Plymouth St. Go left (West) 3 blocks to Ola ave. You are here. Entrance gate is first gate from the corner on W. Take I-275 South to EXIT 46B (old exit 29), that is MLK Blvd. Go west (right turn) ½ mile ( 3 traffic lights) to Highland ave. Do Not turn on Highland ave. Go past Highland ave 2 blocks to Ola Ave. N. then go south (left turn) ½ mile to the corner of W. Plymouth St. & N. Ola Ave. YOU ARE HERE. Entrance is the first gate from the corner on W. BY CAR OR CAB.
Take I-75 North to I-4. Then take I-4 West (towards Tampa,) Just Pass the Ybor City Exit on I-4 get in the right lane. (Note; This is where I- 4 ends at I-275.) Be sure to take I-275 North. The first exit on I-275 North that you will see is EXIT 46B (old exit 29). that is M.L.K. Blvd. Go west (left turn) ½ mile ( 3 traffic lights) to Highland ave. Do Not turn on Highland ave.
