Hotel Max in Mokum is a pretty decent placeto stay. The rooms are very tiny, but they do their best to make the most of it. Excellent location just tothe south of central Amsterdam, in a mostly quite area, andwith a huge everyday outdoor market a block away. Staff is very friendly, and the area is almost exclusively locals.
