The White Orchid Hotel isn't luxurious, nor is it very cheap.  But
it is right in the middle of Chinatown, one of the most exciting areas
of Bangkok.  A tourist could easily spend hours wandering around
the neighborhood, and the accommodations are fine if
unspectacular.  This is a perfect place for someone who thinks a
hotel is nothing more than a bed, but doesn’t want the hassle of
extended transit.  You’ve got a fascinating area right outside
your door.
