Portland and Area
 
We spent the next 4 or 5 days staying with our friends who lived in Tigard/Beaverton area. Spent a good bit of time sitting on their couch and just relaxing. We drove around Portland some but most saw bookstores and nothing really exciting. Since it was my first time in Oregon, I was amazed that you don't pump your own gas there. There was alot of construction going on and I kept getting lost trying to drive around without a map.  City seemed pretty nice. Was able to walk around a number of parks, one with an archery range so we could practice. Definitely want to go back. Prices of everything was fairly reasonable, but we didn't really go to any restaurants so I'm not sure how those compared.
