10 Days in Spain - July 12

Picasso, etc

Last night Jen and I found a little cafe out on a plaza and shared a pitcher of sangria.  It was fabulous.  We then got ready to go to bed, but as we were literally about to get in bed and go to sleep some guys that Jen was trying to get in touch with came to the hostel and found her and made her go out for her birthday (they were brittish guysd she'd met and spent time with in Barcelona).  So she did that while I slept. 

This morning we met up with the same group of boys and had lunch, then went to the Museo del Prado with them.  They had a special exhibit on Picasso, which was very cool.  I discovered that I like the cubist style of painting.  It was also cool getting to see some other artists' paintings, and then how Picasso interpreted them and painted them in his own funky way. 

We then walked the guys back to their hostel and they left back to Brittain.  Jen and I then went to a park and had some ice cream and walked around then had a little nap on the grass.  We went back to the museum to look at a few more things, then had a tapas dinner.  It was fab. 

Now we're at the hostel commnal area and I've just met a guy from San Fran, another from Sonoma, and 2 from Socal that we may stay with sometime, whenever we make it down there...  haha  There's also a gal from Hobart, Tasmania(Australia) and she got really excited when I told her Zach had spent some time there.  It was very cute. The Hostel's organizing a pub crawl tonight, starting at 1am.  I think we'll be joining them.

These spanish keyboards are driving me mad, all the special characters are in different places.  So wierd.
