those sketchy spaniards

So last night we chatted with several of our fellow hostel-lodgers and then went out with the HUGE group for the pub crawl at 1am.  We got to this club that was having a mexican theme night and the music they played was pretty cool so we danced quite a bit.  It was crazy hot, though, and we were sweating like pigs.  It was a fun time but we eventually got tired of the place (and the contests they kept having that involved american girls doing near strip teases) so we left at 3:30 and found this other bar that was ok, not many people which meant we had the dance floor to ourselves which was pretty sweet. But they closed like 15 minutes later, which was fine with us b/c that gave us the excuse to getaway from these 2 sketchy spaniards who were trying to talk to us about how there's no need for me to be faithful to my husband. Um, yeah.

We slept in this morning, till like 11:30am, and found this cute coffee shop for breakfast called Esspresso Republic.  The guy behind the counter was really friendly and cool, and it later came out that he's also Chilean.  There's a crazy amount of chilenos in Madrid.  Jen and I then walked to the train station toget tickets for the rest of our stay in Spain.  Unfortunately we couldn't use the quickie machines so we ended up spending a good hour or more waiting for our turn, but now we're all set with trains to Salamanca, then back here to then go on to Granada and back for our flight next week.  Yay.

WE spent the rest of the afternoo shopping, I found some awesome tops that seem pretty unique and weren't even thatexpensive.  I tried to find shoes but no one seemed to have the ones I liked in my size.  It was kinda humorous, though, first trying to figure out what the heck my size was, since they're totally diofferent from american sizing. We got caught in the rain on our way back, but it wasn't that bad-- the rainbrought along this awesome, cool wind that felt awesome.

We took the metro back though since we were tired and it was probably gonna continue to rain.  It went smoothly, despite our incredible paranoia of getting pickpocketed....  We may go out again tonight, but it will most likely be an early night since we have tobe up and at 'em fairly early tomorrow to catch our train to see Cristina!
