Test - Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv 2006-12-26

I arrived at the hotel in Tel Aviv at about 4 am with a few others on the same trip and crashed. We only got to sleep for about 3 hours before the next lot arrived and we were to start the tour.

We all woke up a little groggy and were introduced to our leaders (David & Amy from Australia and Tzofia from Israel) and our tour guide Effi We also had an armed guard who was going to stay with us the whole time. After grabbing a breakfast of greek-style salad, hoummous and un-naturally coloured yogurt we stumbled into the bus to our first stop. The Azreili Towers which are a group of three buildings -square, circle and triangle that sit above a shopping mall are the tallest buildings in Tel Aviv. We headed to the top of the round one which had a viewing area where I took these pictures. Up here we had our first glance of the mediteranian and had a cloud-covered view of the city. It was raining pretty bad on the way back to the bus & we decided to head back to the hotel and do some of those "name games" to get to know each other a bit better.

We ended up here the next day as well because the third wave of our group arrived without baggage and had to buy some clothes for the next few days.
