A Mellow College Town
2006-08-02
Perugia is larger than Assisi at about 150 thousand, but it still has a small area, and feels like a small town. It seems so far to be like a friendly, mellow college town, and there is a little more English spoken here than elsewhere we have been in Italy. I had some very nice food, and now I am going to have a very nice sleep ;-)
The Archeological Museum was definitely worth it (even though 4 euro seems a bit much). It has some nice collections of prehistoric artifacts.
I found an interesting flier for a club party with La Sexy DJ Silvia Rocca whom appearently spins in the nude or so the pictues on the flier would have one believe. Sexual liberation? hmmm...
The whole Umbria region of Italy(which includes Assisi and Perugia) is really beatiful, and I could easily spend several weeks here. There are supposed to be a really nice lake, and lots of outdoor activities. Would love to find a bike, and just explore and camp out... damn i need to learn Italian though...
