Introduction
9/26/06 to 4/15/06
Here it begins. Alan in a Boulanger coffee shop in the Silicon Valley while Lisa tries to get boots that don't make her toes bleed at REI. In 5 hrs and 55 minnutes we will be on a flight to Belize (by way of, erm, Dallas. Gulp). We have decided to wing it, and don't even know where we'll sleep tomorrow night. I was thinking of getting a crew cut before we leave, and I still might if I can find a good barber shop that's open on Sunday evening. Yea right. Maybe in Dallas? Scary!
We are all packed. Alan thought he lost all his anti-everything pills, and Lisa was nervous, until this morning when I was digging through my pack again and came across my water filter. It rattled like pills. Lisa said "that sounds like pills". It was pills. You see, to my way of thinking, it was a cool way to save on stuff sacks. Interesting... Next time, I will buy a stuff sack that says PILLS in big red letters on the outside.
If we make it to this flight tonight without something blowing out the back of the car, or on one of our heads, it'll be a miracle! Anyway, I am starting to get REALLY excited! Lots of love to all of you, wish us luck, and check back often!

Alan Peevers is a dangerous maniac who should not be let out the front door of his house, much less the country. I fear for the world when such a deranged lunatic is allowed to roam freely, posing as a normal human being. And I should know because - to my everlasting shame - I'm his brother.
