Peevees' Big Adventure - Arrival in Antigua, Guatemala


Arrival in Antigua, Guatemala
 
After boarding a 10-hour overnight bus from Flores, we took a hair-raising rocket ride of a taxi on to Antigua. We got there by 8 am, and found a cheap hostel that was just fine by us. We exploded our backpacks all over our room, and went exploring. After a few hours we came back to the room. Lisa's shoes had completed their experiment. We both fell unconscious for a few minutes, then Lisa bravely woke up and put the evil shoes under the stairs across (and down!) the hall. We figured we'd let the other residents have a go with The Shoes. When we returned later that night, The Shoes were gone! The managers said there have never been disappearances like this, so we have come to a ghoulish conclusion: they left on their own! Maybe they don't like the way we smell, either!

So now, every couple of days, we stop by that old hotel to see if The Shoes have found their way home. We hope not...
