Today was spent in meetings etc but ventured out afterwards to see the city of Vancouver. We took the ferry over to the city centre and wandered araound for a bit. It was largely deserted as everyone was in watching the fial game of the hockey final. We wandered around Gas-town- and had a look at the gas powered clock - nice touristy type of place - but I wouldn't go there after dark it has a very obvious underbelly of vagrants and dodgy people.Anyway we wnadered about an found a restaurant for dinner and had the world's largest steak ( which as a we foundout later was also the world's most expensive steak) Anyway that was pretty much it for that evening and we wandered around and spotted a small Mexican style bar and decided to have a last drink.WELL!!!!!!!!!! It was somethng like out of cyoote ugly - the place was absolutely pumping - full of people intent on having a dam good time. We knew we were in for a night when the bar girls lined up some free Jager Bombs cocktails to say hello - and the night went on from there - fortunately at about 3am we decided to go home as we had to be up at 7am for more meetings. We then encountered Vancouvers most useless taxi driver who could not find his way out of the city -so we had an improptu tour of Vancouver - which we did not fully appreciate.
