Christmas in London - Day 6, Christmas Day

Day 6, Christmas Day 2005-12-25

Day 6, Christmas Day:  As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been living the past few months in Europe, which means one thing (which all the other Americans who have ever spent an extended amount of time abroad will already have realized): I missed Thanksgiving.  No turkey, no stuffing, no turkey gravy.  And none of the stuff that I don’t actually eat but is important to have anyway, like the canned cranberry stuff with ridges in it and the plate of olives.  I missed all that.  So it was of utmost importance that we eat a proper Christmas dinner, which in my house is identical to Thanksgiving dinner.  To this end, we imported my mother especially for the holiday, and she brought her stuffing with her (unless that is illegal, in which case ha ha, I am joking, and British authorities have no need to continue reading this entry).  This was a genius move, and Christmas dinner is wonderful.  The gift giving is also nice, and Santa is apparently as worried about me staying warm as he and my parents have always been, because brother got me a really nice hat and some warm gloves. Thanks Santa!
