(Berkeley, CA)  February 17-22nd, 2009: A live performance by Guy Gash’s Sharp Five Jazz Band is one of many special activities celebrating African-American achievements at Habitot Children’s Museum during this week-long Black History Month celebration.

Saturday, Feb. 21 Muriel Johnson presents African-American folktales and music from 11:00am-12:00pm in the Multicultural Reading Tent

Sunday, Feb. 22  Live performance by Guy Gash’s Sharp Five Jazz Band at 11:30

All week long, families can add special pieces to Habitot’s community quilt and participate in an African-American history scavenger hunt in the museum.  Storytelling honoring African-American culture Tuesday – Friday at 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.
