A Christmas/New Years trip to Sweden

Introduction 12/23/05 to 01/03/06

Being born and raised in a country like Sweden, where a Christmas without snow is about as common as a kangaroo in the street, I have never been able to get used to the thought of spending the holidays somewhere else, especially somewhere warm like Miami. I am very excited to see my family, to experience the cold and snow again and do some shopping. One thing that I am absolutely determined to do is go to the nearest mountain for skiing and snowboarding, something I have been neglecting for the last five or so years.

You should definitely go skiing. I see you said you wanted to, something I too want to do. I hope you fulfill the fantasy. Also Sweden is a beautiful country so you must of really loved the whole experience.

I have had a chance to spend sometime in Sweden for a December holiday, and they do have quite a long celebration over there.  It is celebrated from the Sta. Lucia's Day usually on the 13th of December, then the 25th Christmas Day and extends up to around the 2nd to 3rd week of January.

Wow, love those pictures. The whole ground covered in snow must have made it the ideal Christmas!
