Air New Zealand Flight #XX
2005-12-31
3:49 AM
I've completely lost one day of my life. December 30, vanished into the thin air of the Pacific Ocean. I daresay it'll be worth it, though.
We've 35 minutes until arriving in Auckland, or so the fancy Airshow GPS tracking device tells me. The captain of the flight pronounces Auckland like "Oakland," almost succeeding in convincing my foggy mind that it took a 13 hour flight from San Francisco the East Bay. We're noticeably beginning our descent now, and our apt-troublesome entertainment consoles will be shut down in 10 minutes. "Fast forward your movies and finish your games, ladies and gents." New Zealand awaits.
