Vieques was awesome. It is this little island off the east coast of Puerto Rico. Since the Spainish-American War, Vieques has been under the rule of the Navy, controlling over 70% of the island. Only 2 years ago did the Puerto Ricans push the Navy out and they left. The island is 25 miles long by 5 miles wide, with a little over 9,000 people. There are two central towns, Isabell Segundo (Isabell II) and Esparanza, one on each side of the island.
