Thailand in December - Chiang Mai


Chiang Mai December 12th
 
~ 1:30pm        Too much has happened already for me to recall. Sukothai was awesome - wats and buddhas, buddhas everywhere. Old ruins which give me tingles... My stomach was feeling strange, a little too liquidy. Now we are in Chiang Mai, accosted by forward sellers, pushing on us one packaged tour after another... I didn't know how to handle it and had unpleasant dreams of it all night.    We have gone nowhere yet today. There was saddness and trouble, distance and misunderstanding between us last night, some a result of travelling, some just things I want to talk about, things between Abe and I which are always under question regardless of the excitment and romance of our outward physical reality, there is still the regular emotional difficulties of normal everyday existence.     He slept horribly, this country can be a little noisy at night...
