Introduction
Scotland is a land of singular natural beauty: mountains erupting out of the landscape with thousand foot exposed caves in their sides, mist as thick as clouds and a landscape that
actually glows florescent green--
it's no wonder this eerily stunning place served as the backdrop of many a fantasy movie like
Harry Potter
and
Willow
.
The country is also home to the tribal Celtic culture which visibly permeates Scottish life from the rural outskirts to the modernized inner cities.
The Scots are indeed a proud people, earning the reputation that “A Scot first thinks himself a Scot, and then a man.”
And in addition to the natural scenery and Scottish traditions, the city scene is a Mecca for history buffs and tourists alike, offering a variety of attractions from ancient castles (like the home of Queen Mary in Edinburgh) and cathedrals to vibrant youth-oriented nightlife, making it an ideal destination to satisfy a diversity of tastes.
My group and I (including my friend who is William Wallace's great granddaughter) ventured through the western Highlands to Glasgow and finally Edinburgh before departing for England.

I have been to the Isle of Skye and its the most beautiful place the scenery keeps changing just brilliant.
Been to Oban and went on the ferry to Mull then caught the bus to Tobermoray that is a beautiful little place with all the painted houses.
Largs is a beautiful place as well.
Aberdeen is just beautiful so many things to see and do for all ages.
Glasgow is a great city as well, i would reccomend going to the Peoples Palace it is really interesting.
Overall Scotland is the number 1 place to visit.
