my first trip out of the country - so apparantly i get sea...


so apparantly i get sea sickness..... horay... 2007-01-31
 
We left pai on mon morning and got another cramped, but more
comfortable than the last, bus. I was excited to leave the place but
not its landscape... pai was so beautiful.... we hung out in chang mai
for a little while. went to the night bazzar again and left on the
sleeper train to bangkok.

we got a first class sleeper since it was the only one left. it was
really nice actually. i had a really good nights sleep. they brought
us food that was worse than airplane food (i didnt realize that was
possible). there were some more aussies that we talked to in the
morning (the girl was hot). on a side note it amazes me how late the
trains are..... we left on time and were 2 hours late. not a big deal
you may say...... they are always like that.... you would think that
they would compensate for that and just change the times..... oh
well...

in bangkok we went to the bangkok zoo. some highlights were....

*seeing turtles doing the horizontal tango (this was hard to not be aroused by)
*watching a king cobra eat another snake (this was also very difficult
to not be turned on by)
*got to watch 2 white tiger cubs playing  (i love tigers)

overall the animals we sad.. most of the cages were too small and they
looked really, really bored especially the elephants.... it was an
interesting experience and was a nice mellow rapup to time spent in a
fucking rediculously hectic city......

we left again on the train to chumporn to catch the high speed
catamaran over to the islands........ i had never been on a boat
before, nor have i ever been to a tropical island, so despite the
throwing up for 2 1/2 hours straight (both ends) and sweating my body
weight while this was happening it was a fun experience..... breathing
really helped, so did laying down.... abe of course was totally
fine.....

so here i am in an absolutely beautiful tropical island..... and holy
crap is it beautiful..... not too hot because of the breeze... the
water is clear...... the sand is white..... we are in a bungalow next
to the beach and i have drank 4 exceptional coconut shakes as of this
point.... i am also in a place that charges 2 bhat for 1 minute of
internet........ so i will go as i would like to respond to a couple
of other emails......

picture yourself next to a beautiful beach just chillin out (except
for scott who is in hawaii).......... hehehehehe.... and then remember
i am actually there......

(just kidding of course)... love to all
