Ukrainian Visas for Australians and New Zealanders
Accept for citizens of Australia and New Zealand no one from Europe, USA, Canada and other country's need visa. . But don't be put off. Getting a visa is now is easy and can be done in a day.
If you are in Krakow, for example, you only have to go to the Consulate on Krakowska Street in Kazimierz (Monday, Wednesday, Friday between 9 -12), fill out an application, leave your passport, then go to the nearest bank to pay in the money. Later that day go back to the Consulate with proof of payment and you're done. If you want it done same day it costs a bit more, otherwise you wait a few days and pay less...... Thats it see you in Lviv.
Code on the entrance door is 257 (must be pressed simultaneously)
From the train station you can take tram #9, 9a and get off at Zelena str. Than go straight on Saksaganskogo str. up to Shevchenko Avenue. Landmarks to look out for are Opera House and McDonalds on our street, Shevchenko. Everybody knows it.
From bus station you can take mini-bus (called marshrutka) #71 towards Shota-Rustavely str. located opposite from the tram stop Zelena str.
From airport you can take mini bus #95 (called "marshrutka") to the Opera House. It takes you 5 minutes walk to get to our hotel. How to get to the hostel from other countries:
1. From POLAND. Take any bus or train from Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow etc. to Lviv. Lviv is situated 70 km from Polish border.
2. From HUNGARY, Budapest: Take train to Lviv. Usually train No. 15/16 Budapest-Moscow is the best option (about EUR 30). Leaving Budapest at 18:15 from Keleti train station. Arriving to Lviv at 08:57.
3. From SLOVAKIA. Take bus or train from Koshice to Lviv. (via Uzhgorod).
From CIS COUNTRIES
4. From Kiev. Take overnight train No. 91 (EUR 13) or airplane (twice daily, EUR 30-60)
5. From Moscow (Russia). Take train No. 73 Moscow-Lviv
6. From Minsk (Belarus). Take train No. 389, 371, 86 - Transit trains from St.Petersburg and Minsk
7. From any other Ukrainian city. Take any train to Lviv (There are trains to Lviv from all major Ukrainian cities)
From London:
- take a Ryanair flight from London Stanstead airport to Poland (city Rzeszow or Krakow) and take direct train to Lviv city (Ukraine). Price for train is about 30-40 Euros.
