Raskolnikoff is a nice break from the craziness of the hostel scene and other throbbing bars and clubs in the Neustadt. You get the feeling that this is where the Neustadt's bohemians go when they grow up. It's mellow, housed in a pre-war brownstone, and charms its patrons with a quirky but distinguished vibe. Check out the fountain on the back porch.

The food is a cut above your standard German eatery with a multi-ethnic menu divided by the four points of the compass.
