Metropolitan is about delectable and inspired cuisine. Food that is crafted from fresh, regional ingredients and reflects the seasonal bounty of our earth. The interpretation of New American cuisine at Metropolitan has earned national awards and recognition as “Utah’s culinary jewel.” The wine list is designed to compliment the cuisine and delight guests, and has consistently won the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Zagat calls it “incredible”; also awarded 2005 Best Wine List by Salt Lake Magazine, calling it “a well conceived selection of refined and playful choices that beckon an adventurous foray into oenological bliss.” Established in 1995, Metropolitan is the only Utah restaurant to be simultaneously honored with the DiRoNA Award of Excellence, the AAA Four-Diamond Award, the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, and was named by the International Restaurant & Hospitality Rating Bureau as One of America’s Top 100 Restaurants in the 20th Century.
