| Australia, otherwise known as the Commonwealth of Australia, makes up the vast majority of its continent (which includes the mainland as well as Tasmania, New Guinea, and many small islands scattered throughout the region). Australia's tiny population (that is, compared to its massive size) is concentrated on the coasts in such well-known and well-liked urban destinations as Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, while the inland desert, or "outback," remains dry as bone, scalding hot in summer, and almost empty, except for a smattering of towns forming stops along a transcontinental railroad. The Great Barrier Reef, the longest coral reef in the world at a whopping 1,250 miles long, runs along Australia's northeastern coast. Some of the world's cutest and most iconic fauna can be found here: kangaroos, koalas, and platypus, to name a few.

Great Barrier Reef, Ningaloo Reef and many others are unique places where you will discover absolutely new world under the sea! But, there's much more...if you visit this country, don't miss Melbourne and Sydney - wonderful city breaks! | |
