You have probably heard of a lot of things related to Brussels. Mussels in Brussels. Belgian Waffles. Hefeweizen. Belgian Chocolate. NATO. Fries. All of these things are not exclusive to Brussels or even Belgium, but all of these yummy or at least provacative things are concentrated and overly available in this gloriously architectured city. Where knights of the round table meets palatial military structures, Brussels lies in plump glory, eye candy for the savvy beer drinker, international relations stalker, and deliciously fatty food lover. Wandering through Belgium is a sightseeing rollercoaster through centuries of sometimes pretty, sometimes ugly, sometimes simply interesting buildings, streets, alley ways, and statues of figures posed in...interesting poses. There is plenty for all types of travelers, making this an inclusive city for the myriad of traveler types. Museums, nightclubs, overpriced restaurants, underpriced cafes, pleasant parks, congenial people, and a truly cosmopolitan culture are all reasons to visit...if none of these find appeal, the chocolate alone is worth it.
