Beijing:
The Great Wall

The well-preserved sections of the Great Wall in Beijing are China's most famous tourist site. These sections are mainly the remains from the Ming Dynasty, an era of tremendous construction. The wall runs across the northern part of Beijing for over six hundred kilometers with various passes and towers. The mainly sections include Badaling, Simatai, Jinshanling, Mutianyu, Gubeikou, Huanghuacheng and Jiankou.


The Frobidden City

The Forbidden City: located in the center of Beijing, used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years, it is the grandest integral palace complex still remaining in China.


The Temple of Heaven

The Temple is divided by two enclosed walls into inner part and outer part. The main buildings of the Temple lie at the south and north ends of the middle axis line of the inner part. The most magnificent buildings are The Circular Mound Altar (Yuanqiutan), Imperial Vault of Heaven (Huangqiongyu) and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (Qiniandian) from south to north. Also, there are some additional buildings like Three Echo Stones and Echo Wall.Almost all of the buildings are connected by a wide bridge called Vermilion Steps Bridge (Danbiqiao) or called Sacred Way.


The Summer Palace

The initial construction of the Summer Palace began in 1750, commissioned by Emperor Qinglong as a gift for his mother's birthday. The construction took 15 years to complete. It had the name "Qingyi Yuan" (Garden of Clear Ripples) at that time. The plundering of foreign troops in 1860 destroyed most of the buildings, but they were renovated in 1888 by Empress Dowager Cixi, who was said to have embezzled the funds of the Imperial Navy to build the garden. After China's liberation, the garden became a park and got the name Yiheyuan (Summer Palace).



Xi’an:
Terracotta Warriors and Horses

Terracotta Warriors and Horses: discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well,one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century. These 6,000 life-size painted terracotta warriors and horses --individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation  have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history—Emperor QinShihuang since 2,200 years ago.


Shaanxi Provincial Museum

The Shaanxi Provincial Museum: opened in 1991, the largest comprehensive museum in the province, the museum exhibits over 3,000 unearthed historical relics, a small fraction of their collection, most of the exhibited items are rare treasures, showing you the splendid Chinese culture.


The Ancient City Walls

The Ancient City Walls: built during the 14th century on Tang dynasty foundations, date to the Ming dynasty, the walls are the largest and best-preserved ancient fortress in the world. There is a gate in each of the four sides, the gate towers built over each gate look lofty and magnificent and form a tight defence engineering system.


Guilin:

Li River

Originated in Mountain Mao'er at Xin'an county northeast of Guilin, Li River winds its way southeast for about 437 km, passing through Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle, Zhaoping and finally meets Xi River in Wulin. It boasts the largest and most beautiful scenic


Yangshuo County

Yangshuo County: founded in 590 AD, Yangshuo County has been booming because of tourism. With so many grotesque mountains surrounding, it is described as “the world of green lotus and jade bamboo shoots”.

West Street (Xi Jie) is situated in Yangshuo, the most beautiful town along Li River. Built in 590 during the Sui dynasty with Li River passing by in its east, the street, experienced wind and rains, is still well preserved, revealing the resplendence in


Shanghai:
The Bund

The Bund (the word “Bund” was derived from Anglo-Indian word meaning quay): where the great trading houses and banks had their headquarters in 1920s and 1930s, about a mile long, it is the city's fulcrum.

Nanjing Road: known as “China's No.1 Shopping Street”with a huge of merchandise on sale.


Chengdu:

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base: 18km from the city center, housing 12 pandas in good conditions, it is the best place to see Chengdu's most famous residents and you can get to know more about this precious species in its museum.


Tibet:
The Potala Palace: the symbol of Lhasa, perched upon Marpo Ri Hill, 130 meters above the Lhasa Valley, it is the greatest monumental structure in Tibet and one of the most famous architectural works of the world. The construction of it was started in 641 AD and was rebuilt by the Fifth Dalai Lama in three years, while the Thirteenth Dalai Lama extended and repaired it into what it is now. As the religious and political centre of old Tibet and the winter residence of Dalai Lamas, the palace witnessed the life of the Dalai Lamas and the important political and religious activities in the past centuries.
Potala Palace also houses great amounts of rare cultural relics including the gold hand-written Buddhist scriptures, valuable gifts from the Chinese emperors and a lot of priceless antiques.

The Yangtze River
During the 40 million years history of the life and 50,000years history of human civilization, Yangtze River, a mother river of the Chinese people, brings up billions of Huaxia people.

The Yangtze River, the biggest river in China, the third longest in the World, starts with the Tuotuo River at the Roof of the World -Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, takes in countless rivers, and flows eastward across the interior of China. With an overall length of more than 6,300 kilometers, travelling until it reach the Pacific. It marches permanently toward the East China Sea, singing the songs of the four seasons with its waves. The Yangtze River, next only to the Amazon and the Nile, is the third biggest river in the world and is a cradle that breeds the ancient civilization of the Chinese nation. It cleaved a path and made its way through the mountains to have formed these uniquely beautiful, magnificent, and wonderful gorges-the Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, and Xiling Gorge.
