| Bali is known for its world class surf, but it truly has something for everyone
Need a dose of adrenaline? Paddle through the valley of a tropical rain forest and brave white water rapids, or plunge from the top of Bali's 3 bungee towers. You could also ride mountain bikes along the edges of a canyon, through rural villages, and around the edge of cliff lined beaches.
Looking to get in touch with your soul? Hike into the mountains and walk along the famous teared rice plantations. Travel to and stay at a Hindu or Buddhist retreat, eat fresh meals and enjoy the invigorating silence of meditation.
The island also has several world class Golf courses, designed by legends like Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus. Green fees are relatively cheap but you'll need to book well in advance as many businessmen from across Asia prefer to do their negotiating out on the fairways.
Then of course there's the surfing. Professional wave riders consider Bali sacred ground, home to slow breaks and big barrels. There are body boards available just about anywhere you find yourself on the island, locals love the water and they like to make money by renting out their boards when not using them.
