Introduction to North America
North America is the continent also know as the New World and the Western hemisphere. The continent ends at the Isthmus of Panama, where South America begins. Sometimes people will talk about a "Central America" that lies between the Isthmus of Tehuantepec and the Isthmus of Panama, but Central America is usually considered too small to be its own continent. Popular travel desitinations include the United States, Costa Rica and Belize, and the Carribean islands.
