| There is a huge range of options for travelers visiting the area. You can stay in one of the park lodges, but these tend to be pretty expensive ($50-300). Nearly all are located near the South Rim. There is one at the North Rim but it tends to be open between May and October only. Be sure to book well in advance; these are popular options.
In nearby Tusayan, 7 miles south of Grand Canyon Villiage, there are penty of rooms in commercial inns, lodges and hotels. These are slightly less convenient but much easier to secure.
Camping is another popular option for those who don't mind roughing it a bit. And there are various degrees of roughness. Most campgrounds within the park are near the South Rim. Services range from tent camping to full RV hook-ups. There's also one campground near the North Rim that's only open from May to October. There are also plenty of commercial campgounds near the park and you'll be able to find one with whatever is important to you (laundry, showers, RV hook-ups, etc.)
Camping is also allowed anywhere within the park, throughout the year, with a backcountry permit. These run $10 but have to be reserved in advance; a limited number can be issued at a time.
