| Telegraph Avenue is where you'll find the tie-dye clothes, "water pipes," and homemade jewelry that make this street the hippie timewarp that it is. It also features two phenomenal record stores within a few blocks of each other: Rasputin and Amoeba. If you can't find what you're looking for in either of these two huge warehouses, the outlook is pretty bad.
The Cal campus is great for a walk. There is a little brook running through campus and also a famous spire, the Camponille.
Berkeley has a bunch of great brewpubs. Try playing some backgammon in Triple Rock while sipping their powerful Monkey Head brew on a Thursday night. Or head to the large outdoor porch and live music at Jupiter.
