Capitola is right next to Santa Cruz, on the Pacific Ocean, further along Highway 1 south.   There's  volleyball nets set up along the beach, and tons of cute shops along the streets.  When you get hungry you can stop by Pizza My Heart, My Thai Beach Restaurant Capitola, Shadowbrook Capitola or Margaritaville for a bite to eat if you are looking for Capitola restaurants.  Beware the weather in the summer, as often the fog will roll in and make the beach a bit too cold.
