Davis has, over the last few years, developed a bustling and varied little nightlife scene. The people you'll find out tend to be a mix of Davis locals, grad students, and undergraduates and are usually quite friendly. And in this little college town you can find everything from booty pants and top 40 music to cowboy hats and line dancing.

Most of the nightlife lies along G street. On almost any night of the week you can find locals and students mixing in the bars there below 3rd street. There are also a few other bars downtown, like the extremely popular Sophia's Thai Bar. In recent years a number of downtown restaurants have decided to keep doors open late in the hopes of attracting some of Davis's revelers. Among these are the Little Prague and Soga's. Near campus, The Graduate, on Russell and Anderson, is a longtime favorite and the best place to find vigorous top-40 dancing in town. Other spots to get out some energy include Cantina Del Cabo and Pasta?, both downtown.

The food is standard pub fare and can seem a little overpriced though.At...
