| Napa is about 50 miles north of San Francisco, and no train or boat goes all the way. The easiset was to get to Napa would be renting a car, but the Baylink Ferry provides a fun option. From San Francisco, the Baylink goes all the way to Vallejo, where you can then catch the Vine bus, route 10, to Napa. The Vine bus runs about once an hour on weekdays, a bit less on weekends. |
| The Napa Valley Register is Napa's daily paper. It's got all the info on the latest happenings, with the weekend edition much more helpful. Up north, each small towns also got a paper, from the St. Helena Star, to the south's American Canyon Eagle. The Sentinal is one man's rant, but it's been around forever and is worth checking out. The editor, owner, writer Harry Martin ran for mayor recently. Some folks love him, some hate him. |
