Introduction to Sequoia National Park Edit Section - Sequoia National Park Travel Guide - Hotels & Restaurants

Sequoia National Park is famous for having some of the largest (and oldest) trees in the world. The epic scale of these giants can be truly awe-inspiring.

The park is pretty big but the most impressive groves are easily accessible from the road, and have very well-maintained, short paths winding through them. You don't have to be in shape to see the trees and you can make this a 15 minute stop if you have to. But getting deeper into the park takes you further away from the crowds, and being alone with these ancient trees can be worth the extra time. It's hard having a spiritual experience with nature when you're surrounded by screaming toddlers and jaded teenagers.
