The Pawn Shop
The exterior of the Pawn Shop looks like any old pawnshop you see everywhere, yellow walls announcing: “we buy diamonds.” It used to be a cover for illegal activities but has been reinvented as Miami’s most unconventional nightclub. Inside there is a vintage silver airstream trailer, half an airplane and the VIP room is inside an old school bus. A very unusual and interesting place, and don’t be...

Crobar
One of four Crobar’s in different cities, the Miami one is a staple on the hard-core clubbing scene. If you are seriously into dance music and don’t mind rubbing elbows with hoards of people, this is your thing.

Opium Garden
This Eastern inspired club and the outside garden it is named for has been a Miami favorite for years, unusual in a city where clubs change names and owners quite often. Don’t go in the summer, though, you’ll be sure to sweat—a lot. In the winter it is a bit cooler in the garden.

Nikki Beach Club
Located right on the beach, this place has its own beach lounge chairs. The perfect place to head for an after beach happy hour, you could end up staying all night long in your bikini. At night, the white teepees on the sand are the perfect place for a little intimacy. Sunday is the most popular day to go, and that’s when the locals are here.

Amika
House music, a swinging sixties decor, and beautiful people, it's all here. Modular furniture and rooms assure that this place will never look or feel the same. If you are feeling especially fabulous, try to get into the upstairs loft.

The District
The place to go for clubbing in the Miami Design District, The District is always packed late at night. The crowd is quite young and trendy. Prices are on the steep side, expect to pay $7 for a beer or try one of the drink specials. Half the club is outside in the courtyard, where you can dance all night under the stars. Monday is live poetry night and Tuesday dedicated to jazz and wine, Thursday...

Mansion
This old art deco theater on Washington Avenue has been home to a number of popular clubs, the latest reincarnation being Mansion. It is decorated as an oversized mansion, with a fireplace, huge gilded mirrors and chandeliers. Here, you can get down to hip hop music all night long, if you get past the velvet ropes that is. You may even spot the occasional celebrity in the crowds.

Space
Famous for its impressive line-up of world-renowned DJs, Space holds its own on the Miami club scene. This is where Diddy hosted the star studded official 2005 VMA after-party. Space even has its own energy drink, Spacefuel; you might need it because the party never ends until it’s time for lunch.

Nocturnal
After almost two years of planning, this 20,000 square foot super club just recently opened its doors. Much attention was paid to lighting and sound systems, assuring quality clubbing as close to Ibiza as it gets. With three floors and a terrace dance floor, this club won’t leave anyone disappointed. The party goes on as long as there are people there.
