Before it took over much of the business in the 70s Chicago Midway in South Side was the area’s main airport. Some people prefer Midway since it is less busy. |
| The Chicago Transit Authority operates buses, subways, and elevated and ground-level trains. It's a very reliable system. Chicago is also a big motor city, though. A third of its people drive to work each day. The main downtown artery is Wacker Drive, a two-story highway that runs alongside the river. |
